Sermon of the Month: October 2025

Updated: Oct 14

Often when we pray, we use the phrase “coming to the throne of grace.” Have you ever wondered what that actually means? Have you ever thought about that throne and what it is like? Hebrews 4:14-16 explains these things to us, “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

In expounding on this text, Dr. David Kranendonk (FRC Professor at PRTS) brings us a sermon for this month titled “Called to the Throne of Grace.” Dr. Kranendonk brings us this message by looking at the priest on the throne, and second, by looking at the grace that comes from the throne.
