Campout Freezeout happened at the beginning of February. It started as a muddy and wet week, but the Lord blessed us with snow and solid ground for the weekend. With lots of help from Zion FRC and the Young Peoples we were able to have the site set up and ready for the young and enthusiastic campers. There were roughly 90 campers Friday night and about 60 who braved the cold and stayed the evening. What a night we were able to enjoy in Christian fellowship.
Friday night we had the opportunity to listen to Pastor VanBrugge speak on Revival – a topic many churches and young peoples have been being encouraged to pray about. We sang songs and played games together in the evening. Saturday, we enjoyed a nice breakfast together and then cleaned the site up.
With thankfulness to the Lord, our campers and to all our lovely supporters we were able to raise a little over $21,000 for Camp Canaan and the sponsor children in Guatemala. What a blessing it is to see everyone’s work come together and to know the difference our efforts will make in the lives of other young peoples in Guatemala. Thank you again, and enjoy the pictures taken of the weekend by Kranendonk Photography.
