Sermon of the Month: October 2026

In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus taught us to pray, “lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” In the tempting world around us with the threefold enemy of the devil, sinful flesh, and the world, this is a prayer we must remember to pray.

Preaching on this petition, Pastor Erik Moerdyk (St. Thomas FRC) brings us our Sermon of the Month for October titled, “Jesus teaches us to pray in the battleground of temptation.” He guides us through 3 points: first, the battleground described, second, the victory proclaimed, and third, the charge sounded. Let us all learn to pray, “lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
