For Thine Is The Kingdom, And The Power, And The Glory, Amen
“The LORD reigneth…” —Psalm 97:1
Read Psalm 97
The Lord’s Prayer ends with a song of praise to God. He is King over all; He has all power and is completely glorious in Himself. We may praise the Lord by singing the Psalms, and we can also praise the Lord by reading His Word and bringing our petitions to Him.
And yet, do we not forget to bring honour and praise to God in our prayers? Quite often our prayers consist of petitions and nothing more. May therefore the “model” prayer, taught us by the Lord Jesus, be an example for us to follow. All glory, thanksgiving and worship are due to Him, both now and forever. Amen.
Why is it laudable to praise the Lord?
