The Lord Preserves His Children

“Now to appear in the presence of God for us…” —Hebrews 9:24

Read Hebrews 9:16-28

Listen to what Christ prays: “Father, I have accomplished every-thing necessary so that a sinner may appear before Thee. When no other solution was available to save them, I went to do Thy will. And now I have completed Thy will; I have given My life for all those whom Thou hast given Me. Father, I pray Thee: save them!”

“When I was with them in the world, I preserved them in Thy name. Those that were given Me, I have kept. Father, My will is that those given to Me be with Me. Righteous Father, the world has not known Thee, but I have known Thee, and they have witnessed that Thou has sent Me.”

Do you hear these words? This is how the Lord Jesus prays for His own children. How could any of them ever perish? Would you want to add anything to this prayer? Just tell the Lord, “Lord God, I am such a sinner! I’m guilty of everything. But Thy Son has shed His blood precisely for such sinners as I am. Lord receive me on the basis of Thy shed blood.”

One day, the Lord Jesus shall return. At that time, those who look to Him for their salvation shall see Him without sin. What a glorious reunion this shall be!

Do you expect Him?
